June 29, 2022 – COVID Update

Our regulatory college (RCDSO) has advised us today that patients are only required to wear masks if they answer yes to any of the Ministry of Health COVID screening questions as listed below:

  • Do you have any flu-like symptoms (fever/chills, new/worsening cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste/smell, unexplained fatigue, nausea/vomiting/diarrhea (if <18 years old))?
  • Have you tested positive for COVID in the last 10 days?
  • Have you travelled outside of Canada in the last 14 days and do not have 2 vaccine doses?
  • Have you had close contact with a COVID patient without appropriate PPE and do not have 2 vaccine doses?

If you answer no to all of the above questions, you are still more than welcome to wear a mask for your own personal comfort.

Thank you for your cooperation!

March 9, 2022 – COVID Update

The Government of Ontario has announced today that as of March 21, indoor masking requirements will be lifted in most places. This does NOT include health-care settings, and as such, masks are still required in dental offices. We are also still required to continue to screen patients prior to their appointments. Please continue to wear your mask when entering the office until further notice. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

March 1, 2022 – COVID Update

As of today, vaccine passports are no longer required. However we are still required by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO) to ask COVID screening questions prior to, and at your appointment. These can be found here, which includes inquiring about your vaccination status. Your answer is kept confidential and does not affect if/how you receive dental treatment. Please continue to wear a face covering when entering the office. Thank you for your cooperation.

February 24, 2022 – COVID Update

On February 17, 2022, indoor capacity limits have been increased. Our regulatory college has advised dental offices to continue to maintain social distancing along with mandatory face coverings. We will continue to space out patient appointments to minimize overlap between patients. Please continue to wait in your vehicles until you get confirmation to enter the office, unless you are taking public transit. Thank you again for your support and understanding.

January 5, 2022 – COVID Update

Happy New Year to everyone and welcome back. We are open once again and look forward to treating you in this new year. Despite Ontario going back to a modified stage 2, there have been no restrictions added to dental offices. We will continue to implement the same COVID protocols that have been in place since the start of the pandemic:

• Reduced waiting room capacity with social distancing measures in place

• Mandatory face coverings for everyone in the facility

• COVID-19 screening questions prior to, and at the appointment (for the

current questionnaire, click here)

• Use of appropriate personal protective equipment by staff

• HEPA filtration units in each operatory

• Extended spacing between patient appointments

• Regular sanitization of high-touch areas in the facility

In addition to all these measures, all staff members are triple vaccinated to better protect you and ourselves as well.

Stay safe and we look forward to seeing you again!

December 24, 2021 – Office Hours

As of December 24, our office is closed for the holiday season. We will be back on January 5 but will continue to pick up phone messages and check our emails. If you have a dental emergency that cannot be managed until our return, you can contact Dental Emergency Services at (416) 485-7121. Have a happy holiday and see you in the new year!

September 16, 2021 – COVID Update

As of September 22, many indoor facilities will require proof of vaccination. This requirement does NOT apply to dental settings, however we are still required to ask about your vaccination status for our COVID screening questionnaire. Regardless of your vaccination status, it will NOT affect your eligibility for receiving dental care. Stay safe!

September 15, 2021 – COVID Update

The Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario has released a new set of COVID screening questions that we are required to ask at each dental visit. This updated questionnaire includes asking about your vaccination status. Please be assured that like your medical history, this information is kept confidential between you and our dental team. Your vaccination status does not change how our staff provide treatment to you as we practice universal precautions with all our patients. But this information is required for us to help keep both staff and patients safe. Thank you for your understanding and stay safe!
